I was responsible for all character lighting in What If...? An Immersive Experience, helping to bring the show's iconic cel shaded character lighting into our experience. I worked closely with lookdev and tech art to test out the shader-based lighting system they created to ensure it captured the distinctive visual style of the show.
I used shader parameters and Unreal's sequencer to animate character lighting across a wide range of scenes, from dialogue to fight sequences. This included lighting a variety of characters in the experience, many of whom can be see in the official trailer.
